60th Anniversary 1960 – 2020

I hope that our members, colleagues, families, and friends continue to stay healthy and safe during these uncertain times. We are definitely being challenged, but at the same time there have been countless displays of outstanding character and professionalism by the KC-ASIS chapter members. I'm truly honored and humbled to be the 2020 Chapter Chair for this great organization. This past month we hosted a joint Webinar with InfraGard that had over 100 attendees.The chapter board and committee chairs are continuing to plan for relevant ASIS activities. April Chapter Meeting

Rick Dunn (KC-ASIS) and Donna Gomez (InfraGard KC) held a joint online education panel discussing the actions that several Greater Kansas City agencies and companies are taking during this pandemic.

The panel discussed issues within their area of expertise, and current steps/best practices they are taking to deal with this issue.  The discussion ended with a Q&A.

ASIS FOUNDATION LIAISON
Deadline for the following awards have been extended to 30 June.

ASIS COUNCIL LIAISON
· Launch date for the future state ASIS Connect Communities is June 1st.
· HQ also has a pilot for the newly established ESRM community. (Link)

CERTIFICATION COMMITTEE
· An APP study group is currently in session, contact Mike Betten, mbn@stowers.org, for more information.

LAW ENFORCEMENT LIASION
· The board is looking for ideas for the 2021 Public-Private Partnership (P3) Grant, this grant is awarded to a full-service law enforcement agency to support an active P3 program.

MEMBERSHIP
· The Chapter will be awarding a complimentary GSX Pass to the chapter member that brings in the most new members to the chapter.  This is addition to the ASIS International Member Challenge (Member-Get-A-Member). Campaign ends 30 June.  See details

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
· ASIS International Young professionals celebrating 10 yr anniversary.
