This week’s topic is “Healthcare and Public Health: Updates and Actions in the COVID-19 Environment.” This Townhall series is designed to enhance communication, coordination and information sharing within our four states (IA, KS, MO and NE) during the national COVID-19 pandemic.  

This week’s topic will define and explore the many cross-sector critical infrastructure and essential worker public health impacts in the COVID-19 environment. Speakers will provide the audience with actionable information and forward-looking public health updates regarding COVID-19, including issues and challenges hospital systems face in the regional and national response.

The guest speakers are Dr. John Redd, Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response’s (ASPR) and representatives from the Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska State Hospital Associations. These distinguished experts will provide:

  • State and national public health situation briefings;
  • Forward-looking updates;
  • Current federal and state mitigation measures;
  • Essential worker impacts and planning considerations;
  • And share relevant resources and products.
