Overview:
Garmin International is enrolled in a government-sponsored voluntary program entitled the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT). The program is designed to assist U.S. customs officials in detecting and preventing terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the United States, while facilitating the orderly and efficient flow of legitimate trade and people at and through the U.S. borders. Effective supply chain security depends on the cooperation of all applicable Garmin personnel.
During this block of instructions, Garmin Physical Security and Life Safety Systems, Matthew Hughes, and Garmin Physical Security Manager, Andrei Ivan, will present the processes and policies, zones concept, site layout, and security systems that make up the Physical Security and Access Controls of our primary Garmin North America Distribution Center, Raw Materials, and Reverse Logistics hub in Olathe, KS., thus allowing Garmin to maintain their C-TPAT enrollment with the US Government.
Arrival and Parking:
The visitors attending the event can utilize the visitor parking spots on the first floor of the garage, north of Building 2, and enter Building 2 via North Lobby Main Entrance (marked as A on the map, hyperlinked below). They will receive a temporary badge and will be shown to the auditorium by the Security Staff at the lobby desk.
As Building 3 is being completely reconstructed, S. Brentwood St. is closed for general traffic; the campus can be accessed from Garmin Way, S Ridgewood Rd., and S. Mahaffie Circle Rd.
