Honeywell’s Federal Manufacturing & Technologies business handles the U.S. Department of Energy’s Kansas City National Security Campus in Missouri and New Mexico, manufacturing sophisticated mechanical, electronic and engineered-material components for our nation's defense system. Primary Duties:

  • Accountable for diversified portfolio development, management, and execution to ensure short term and long-term portfolio viability utilizing robust business acumen.
  • Holds team accountable for accurate account development and achievement of revenue targets.
  • Manage prioritization of programs and pursuit opportunities within portfolio while supporting escalation process for resources and production allocation within all of Global Security business unit.
  • Lead strategic initiatives consistent with Global Security objectives that influence sponsor perceptions and the overall future of Global Security and FM&T.
  • Accountable senior company representative to resolve escalation issues and concerns with external stakeholder(s).
  • Develops extensive executive relationships within assigned portfolio segment by acting as an influential leader within the respective portfolio’s community of interest.
  • Leads effort for strategic relationship development with Senior Executives in accordance with the portfolio engagement strategy to facilitate cross functional benefits to sponsoring organization(s) ~Perform portfolio strategy development and implementation consistent with Global Security Strategic Vision and business plan expectation(s).
  • Be a change agent to ensure agile response to changing internal and external environment(s).
  • Drives disciple and accountability in team to negotiate, establish, communicate and execute cost, scope and schedule delivery for sponsor programs consistent with robust best business practices in portfolio management.
  • In depth understanding of core proficiencies and business objectives to contribute resources for program acceptance and execution consistent with business policies and protocols.
  • Responsible for meeting financial metrics including spend plan execution for assigned portfolio by robust execution of work while maintaining a comprehensive One Global Security attitude.
  • Partners with peers and external partners to maximize efficiency and impact while employing a One Global Security and FM&T mindset
  • Responsible for ensuring that overall sponsor support for all products and service offerings meets Honeywell and sponsor standards while managing FM&T risk profile.
  • Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities

You Must Have:

  • Must be able to obtain / maintain Q level security clearance with SCI security access
  • 10 or more years of direct experience
  • 5 or more-years management experience leading skilled and self-motivated direct and indirect staff
  • BS in Engineering or related program field
  • Business acumen and strategy expertise to assess situations and make and/or recommend strategic decisions
  • Experience developing / leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • In depth understanding and situational awareness of portfolio segment
  • Experience in developing collaborative relationships with executive counterparts
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset showcasing the ability to influence and lead others
  • Proven leadership experience within various internal and external organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills
  • Must be able to accommodate a travel schedule with willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Demonstrated program / project management experience
